BEST ADVICE RECEIVED: Drown out the background noise and do what you think is right.

DEFINING CAREER MOMENT: At my first review at my first law firm I learned how men and women perceive things differently when a male colleague told me I was assertive but not in an acerbic kind of way.

FIRST JOB: Babysitting for my neighbor’s children. They had junk food and we didn’t at home, so it was perfect.

HOW/WHY CHOSE FIELD: I chose law because of the intellectual aspect of it – debating and negotiation and the chance to advise people. Insurance chose me.

MOST PROUD OF: Staying true to myself.

MOST REWARDING: The love of my husband.

MOTIVATOR: The desire to succeed personally and professionally and to be the best person I can be.
