DEFINING CAREER MOMENT: Building a successful practice and then being recruited by another firm.

HOW/WHY CHOSE FIELD: Due to my father’s illness and being his caregiver, I chose to enter the family field.

KEY TO SUCCESS: Listening to what people say they need or want and helping them achieve it.

LEADERSHIP TIP: Lead by example; don’t be afraid to acknowledge a mistake and move on.

LIFE LESSON: Take time to give to others, spend time with family and loved ones, and the rest will work out.

MENTOR: My 2nd and 3rd grade teacher who inspired excellence, and my Grandfather who never complained in spite of great adversity and challenge.

MOST REWARDING: Mentoring a teenage girl through Big Brothers/Big Sisters. I cherish giving to someone who doesn’t have the same opportunities I’ve had. It’s also very rewarding to work with and empower other women.

MOTIVATOR: To earn the trust and confidence of clients.
