The 24th print edition of the Women's Yellow Pages is here! I remember being 24 as it it were yesterday; it was the year I started dating my husband, Brian. It's hard to believe we've been married for 27 years!
While we were dating, someone older and much wiser (and probably a good dozen years younger than I am now) told me that the definition of a great partner is one who makes the good times better and the hard times easier. Brian embodies this to the point where his photo could easily be in the dictionary by the word spouse.
As many of you know, during the creation of the 24th print edition of the Women's Yellow Pages, my immediate family experienced a year of what seemed like an insurmountable number of constantly evolving health-related challenges. Brian and I became living, breathing examples of making the hard times better for one another.
On the days when things were super-tough, I realized I was able to fare better than Brian. Why? Because I am blessed with the honor of being part of a huge, supportive group of women in business, also known as the Women's Yellow Pages. Almost every incoming phone call felt like a long-distance hug as people promised prayers, volunteered services, or shared words of encouragement. When I went to networking events I received more of the same, and the hugs were in person.
A great community, like the Women's Yellow Pages, is one that helps you not only celebrate the good times, but also helps you cope with the hard times. We are an open, ever-growing, and always-evolving group. If you are not already a part of it, we would relish the opportunity to include you in our fold. A good way to start is to connect with some of the women in the 24th edition and share your expertise so we can all grow our businesses together.
